Agricultural Intelligence (AI)
Dr Sebastien Wong, CTO, Consilium Technology
Technology disruption occurs when there is a convergence of exponentially increasing technologies. Recent advances in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and accessible high-resolution satellite imagery are poised to disrupt and transform the viticulture industry. Geospatial Artificial Intelligence for Agriculture (GAIA) will: (1) revolutionise the way that foundational data on national vineyard assets is collected, and (2) empower growers to easily monitor the health of their individual crops across all seasons. The rate of technology disruption indicates that other agricultural industries will follow similar transformations in the near future.
