Professor Craig Baillie

Professor Craig Baillie is an Agricultural Engineer with 24 years’ experience in Agricultural Research, Development and Extension (R, D &E). Craig is currently the Director of the Centre for Agricultural Engineering (CAE) and the Deputy Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Engineering and Space Sciences (IAESS) based at the University of Southern Queensland. Craig’s role includes research management, business development (new projects) and the commercialisation / adoption of engineering technologies. Craig’s primary research interests include farming systems innovation and technology solutions to improve farm productivity and profitability. Previously, Craig has had a number of roles including farming systems research and technical support to large corporate farming operations which involved the development and implementation of new infrastructure, machinery, technologies and innovative farming strategies.
